LOVE ONLY is a new event series brought to you by Kiki LeFreak every month at Bambi’s To start things off right we have a very special guest dj from Detroit. He is a pioneer in house and techno. The one and only MIKE GRANT! Mike Grant is a Detroit-based DJ, producer, and owner of Moods & Grooves Records, whose career has helped shape the global sound of house and techno. Active since the early 1980s, he was part of the WJLB “Street Beat” radio show alongside Juan Atkins and Derrick May, became the first American DJ to hold a residency at Berlin’s legendary Tresor Club, one of the first DJs to have their mixes played for dancers on TV (WGPR’s The Scene including Jeff Mills), and has been featured in the Detroit Historical Museum’s “Techno: Detroit’s Gift to the World” exhibit. His iconic track “The Struggle of My People” was included in Resident Advisor’s Best Electronic Records of 2000–25, affirming Grant’s lasting global impact. As founder of the influential Moods & Grooves record label, his work remains deeply rooted in Detroit and respected worldwide. Supported by Toronto local favourite Kiki LeFreak!
